PDEA, BOC seize P292 million shabu at Manila port

MANILA, Philippines — Forty-three kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P292.4 million were intercepted at the Manila International Container Port on Monday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency reported yesterday.
PDEA chief Isagani Nerez said the contraband was seized during a seaport interdiction in coordination with the Bureau of Customs and other government agencies.
An investigation is ongoing to identify the people behind the drug shipment, Nerez said.
“We will continue to dismantle drug trafficking rings that threaten the safety and welfare of our communities,” Nerez said.
