Bus catches fire in Quezon City
A vehicular fire involving a bus occurred along P. Tuazon Boulevard before EDSA westbound intersection in Quezon City at around 6:45 PM on August 23, 2025.

MANILA, Philippines — A passenger bus caught fire along the westbound lane of P. Tuazon Boulevard along EDSA intersection in Quezon City on Saturday night.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported the incident at around 6:45 p.m., identifying the vehicle as a German Espiritu Liner bus.

Personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection and MMDA responded. The fire was put out at 7:07 p.m.

According to the bus driver, faulty headlight wiring may have caused the fire.

All passengers and the driver were able to evacuate safely before the flames spread.
