BOC seizes P4.4 million drugs in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — Six parcels containing illegal drugs worth P4.4 million were intercepted at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay, according to the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Some 1,330 Ecstasy tablets and 362 grams of heroin from Ireland, the Netherlands and Thailand were misdeclared as skincare products and other items.
Authorities turned over the confiscated parcels to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
“The BOC remains relentless in its efforts to secure the country’s borders against illegal drugs, which pose grave threats to the health and safety of our people,” Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said.
