Boy, 16, found dead; girlfriend’s kin eyed as suspects

MANILA, Philippines —  A Grade 11 student has been found dead by the roadside in Barangay Macabud in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Complaints are being readied against three relatives of the victim’s girlfriend, who according to the police, are possible suspects.

In an interview over GMA News on Tuesday night, Rizal police spokesperson Capt. Mariesol Tactaquin said the family members of the girlfriend of the victim were opposed to the relationship of the two.

Tactaquin did not identify the suspects and the victim, pending the result of a case buildup.

Initial investigation showed the victim told his mother he would meet with his girlfriend on Oct. 29, but failed to return home.

Police went to the house of the victim’s girlfriend, but found it padlocked.
