2 nabbed for trafficking
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Two suspected human traffickers have been arrested following a raid on an entertainment bar that resulted in the rescue of three minors in Angeles, Pampanga on Thursday.
Reports reaching Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon regional police director, identified the suspects as Rodelyn Reyes and May Ann Joy Estember, both of Angeles City.
Initial investigation showed that one of the mothers of the minors reported her daughter missing since Monday last week.
Police posted the girl’s photo on their station’s gallery of missing persons.
A citizen saw the picture of the minor and told police that the girl was working at an establisment along Fields Avenue in Barangay Balibago.
This prompted the police, local officials and social workers to raid the establishment.
Police said criminal charges would be filed against the suspects.
