3 hurt in Maguindanao grenade blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Three persons including a minor were wounded when a grenade exploded in Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao on Sunday, security officials reported yesterday.

Sahabudin Damada, 19; Erap Kaslon, 18, and Guiadsali Duwa, 10, were taken to the provincial hospital for treatment.

Investigation showed the victims found the grenade in front of their house in Barangay Paldong, according to Col. Richard Verceles, operations chief of the Area Police Command-Western Mindanao.

The victims reportedly tinkered with the grenade, causing it to explode.
