COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Suspected drug traffickers shot dead two civilian informants who helped authorities set up an anti-drug operation in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte yesterday morning.

The fatalities, identified only as “Toks” and “Odjie,” volunteered to help entrapped three major shabu traffickers in Barangay Margues, according to Lt. Col. Nelson Madiwo, town police chief.

Toks and Ogie were in a car on their way to the entrapment site in Sitio when they were killed at around 8 a.m.

The assailants fled in a waiting vehicle after the killing, probers said.

Meanwhile, in Bulacan, 10 persons were arrested in separate raids on suspected drug dens in San Jose del Monte City on Sunday.

Of the figure, seven were collared in a raid in Barangay Gaya-gaya at around 7 a.m., according to Glenn Guillermo, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

PDEA agents also stormed another drug den in Barangay Minuyan Proper, were three others were allegedly caught conducting a drug session at around 10:50 a.m.

Authorities recovered 727grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P187, dried marijuana leaves valued at P750, drug paraphernalia, and marked money.
