Pasay has 48 active COVID-19 cases
MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in Pasay City has doubled in one week.
Data from the city government showed there are 48 active cases as of Friday, an increase of 100 percent compared to 24 cases the same day in the previous week.
Despite the increase, there are no new deaths, with the death toll remaining at 591.
Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano said relief goods were sent to the COVID-19 patients.
Each relief pack contains two kilos of rice, one whole chicken, fruits, vegetables, ready-to-eat food, milk products and washable face masks.
“Ito ay pagkukusang-loob ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Pasay bilang tulong at suporta sa mga COVID-19 patients sa ating lungsod,” Calixto-Rubiano said.
