Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers seized P5.52 million worth of shabu during a sting in Pasig City yesterday afternoon.

The illegal drugs weighing around 812.12 grams were confiscated from Mohaimen Rangaig, 26; Matet Makebel, 34, and Isabel Tobosa, 26.

Col. Wilson Asueta, Eastern Police District director, said the suspects were apprehended along R. Castillo street in Barangay Kalawaan at around 5:05 p.m.

Asueta said the suspects negotiated a deal with a policeman posing as a drug buyer for the shabu in their possession.

The police official said among the three, Rangaig is included in their list of high-value targets in the illegal drug trade.

The suspects are being held on charges of drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, around 67 grams of shabu valued at P455,600 were seized from Norodin Lillan, 39, during a sting in Taguig City on Friday, according to Col. Kirby John Kraft, director of the Southern Police District.
