Cops search for motorist following missing CEO
MANILA, Philippines — Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle which was spotted following the Toyota Land Cruiser of a pharmaceutical company’s chief executive officer (CEO) who went missing in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig last month.
A security official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the driver is one of the four persons of interest whom police are tracking down.
The source said the driver, a man, was tailing the CEO, who was in his vehicle in Taguig.
“He was the one driving the back-up vehicle, always following the Land Cruiser,” the source said in an interview.
The source said the CEO’s vehicle was driven to Batangas from BGC. It was later found burned in San Luis, Pampanga.
The CEO’s driver was earlier tagged as a person of interest.
The Anti-Kidnapping Group is waiting for the results of a DNA test on the human skeletal remains found in Barangay San Juan in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas on Monday to determine if the bones are those of the missing CEO.
The last time the CEO was last seen alive was on July 19, when he picked up P5.7 million in cash and two expensive watches from his personal assistant.
