3 dead in Batangas road mishap

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three persons died when their car was hit by a cargo truck in Nasugbu, Batangas yesterday.

Roland Adrias, 48; Rochelle Dimaano, 46, and Rachelle Anne Dimaano, 23, all residents of Barangay Luntal in Tuy town, were on their way to Manila when the accident occurred in Sitio Bukaki, Barangay Aga at around 4:20 a.m.

Police said the truck also hit another car before it struck the vehicle of the fatalities.

Truck helper Rolando Recto Jr., 36, was taken to the Apacible Memorial District Hospital for treatment.

Truck driver Hilario Condez fled on foot following the accident.
