CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two suspects in the robbery and killing of a 75-year-old man were arrested in Infanta, Quezon on Saturday.

Marco Benites and his partner Trixie Rico did not resist when authorities collared them in Barangay Dinahican, according to Col. Joel Villanueva, Quezon police director.

The arrest was based on a warrant issued by Judge Dennis Orendain of the Lucena City Regional Trial Court Branch 53 on charges of robbery and homicide.

No bail was recommended for the temporary release of the suspects, who were tagged in the killing of Benjamin Valdoria of Sariaya town.

Valdoria was found dead by a relative at the back of his house on Jan. 7.

“The suspects rented an apartment near the victim’s house. They took the victim’s money amounting to P100,000,” case investigator M/Sgt. Christian Zulueta told The STAR over the weekend.
