‘No letup in Central Luzon PNP drug war’

The Philippine Star

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Citing the recovery of P4.5 billion worth of shabu and P19.7 million worth of marijuana and the arrest of 58 ”high-value” drug suspects in Central Luzon in the past month, Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon gave assurance that there is no letup in the war on illegal drugs in the region.

De Leon said recent police operations also resulted in the arrest of 159 most wanted and 883 other suspects in the region.

He said the Central Luzon police is committed to “making our streets safer and making our people feel more secure.”

“We are carrying out our anti-crime initiatives with greater zeal and vigor,” De Leon said.
