Jose Rodel Clapano - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada would be reelected for the third time if the elections were held today, according to a survey.

Forty-five percent of the 2,400 respondents surveyed by the Company for Strategic Research Inc. wanted Estrada to continue to lead the city government for the next three years.

The poll was conducted from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3, 2018.

Former mayor Alfredo Lim got 24 percent of the votes. Former vice mayor Isko Moreno was third, with 20 percent.

Nine percent of the respondents remain undecided while one percent did not vote.

For vice mayor, former congressman Amado Bagatsing topped the survey with 44 percent. His rival, Honey Lacuna, received 32 percent. Other vice mayoral bets Elmer Jamias and Manoy Verlie Anonuevo got one percent each.
