3 drug suspects slain in Taguig, Pateros

MANILA, Philippines – Three suspected drug personalities were killed in Taguig City and Pateros since Tuesday night.

Walter Sombrano, 42, a construction worker, was shot dead by unidentified assailants along Purok 7 Extension in Barangay Napindan, Taguig at around 9 p.m., Southern Police District director Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario said.

A piece of paper identifying Sombrano as an alleged drug pusher was found beside him, police said.

Mark Anthony Pasia, 38, was slain by an unidentified gunman in Barangay Central Signal after midnight yesterday.

Pasia died at the scene from gunshots to the body.

Police said Pasia was on the drug watchlist.

In Pateros, Angelito Lovendino, 52, was gunned down by motorcycle-riding assailants in Barangay Poblacion at past 3 a.m.

Reports said Lovendino was sleeping when the assailants broke into his house and opened fire.

He died at the scene from gunshots to the head and body.

Lovendino was allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.
