5 dead in motorbike mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Five persons died in separate motorcycle accidents in Cagayan and Isabela on Friday night.

Jonathan Paguila was driving his motorcycle with his grandparents Jesus and Rosalinda Paguila when a van hit them along the highway in Barangay Baclud in Amulung, Cagayan, said Senior Inspector Geronimo Balloran, Amulung police chief.

The van driver, identified as Lorville Abalos, and his 15 passengers were injured and brought to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center for treatment.

In Cauayan City, two unidentified motorcycle riders died when they collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by businessman Jimmy Allauigan of Ilagan City. ?

Superintendent Engelbert Soriano, Cauayan City police chief, said the motorcycle has no registration papers and license plate.
