Trike driver killed in Nueva Vizcaya road mishap

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A tricycle driver died while his passenger was hospitalized when their vehicle collided with a passenger bus along the national highway in Barangay Darapidap in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya on Tuesday.

Gerry Castillo, 52, died at the scene when his tricycle was thrown several meters away after ramming into a 5 Star bus (AWC-835) driven by Alvino Pacis, 34, a resident of Echague, Isabela, Senior Police Officer 2 Jovencio Dalpig said.?

Wilfredo Picaña, 45, remains confined at the Veterans Regional Hospital in Bayombong yesterday.

Pacis surrendered to responding policemen.
