LPA to exit Phl; isolated rains over Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Just expect isolated rains on Wednesday as the low pressure area (LPA) affecting Luzon is set to exit the country, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its daily weather forecast that the LPA that has been dumping rains over Metro Manila is now at 250 kilometers west of Baguio City or over the West Philippine Sea.

The weather bureau said the Caraga and Davao regions will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will just experience partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Luzon and winds coming from the northeast to southeast will prevail over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

The LPA has been bringing rains over Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Some areas have been flooded, prompting some schools and officials to suspend classes on Monday.
