Comedian’s dad slain

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – The father of comedian-magician Jeffrey Tam was found dead in Tayabas, Quezon on Tuesday, police said.

Senior Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian, Region 4 police director, said Alfredo Francisco Tam, 67, was found dead by the roadside at the boundary of Tayabas and Lucena cities at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said witnesses saw a yellow Isuzu Crosswind dump the body of the older Tam. The vehicle, however, later turned out to be of Tam’s and it was later found abandoned in Barangay Mayao Crossing in Lucena City.

Investigators recovered a wire cutter inside the vehicle, whose interior walls were splattered with blood.
