Iloilo town mayor dies

ILOILO, Philippines  – The 59-year-old mayor of San Miguel town died of a terminal illness last Saturday.

Charles Vincent Saclauso, son of Mayor Victor Saclauso, confirmed his father’s death at the Iloilo Mission Hospital in Iloilo City due to chronic antral gastritis, an autoimmune disorder that affects the digestive system.

The young Saclauso said his father suffered from severe stomach pain during the campaign period, and after the elections, was confined in the hospital.
