Jobless man takes recruiter hostage in QC

A jobless man took a recruitment manager hostage at a manpower placement agency in Quezon City early Monday morning.

The suspect, Gilbert Ember, took hostage Ergie Alcala, the officer-in-charge of the Triple I Manpower Agency, with a bolo after the latter refused to refund Ember's P40 registration fee. 

The incident lasted four hours with the police managing to persuade Ember to release his hostage.

Ember was later taken to the Quezon City Police District Station 3 for investigation.
