Quake jolts Davao Oriental

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake jolted Davao Oriental yesterday morning, but caused no damage, government seismologists said.
The tectonic quake struck at 24 kilometers northeast of Mati, Davao Oriental at 9:30 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
It was felt at Intensity 2 in Tarragona, Davao Oriental.
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake also rattled parts of Mindanao at 7:52 p.m. last Wednesday.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 6 in Tarragona, Intensity 5 in Mati, Intensity 3 in the cities of Davao and Bislig in Surigao del Sur, and Intensity 1 in Butuan City. – Helen Flores
