Suspect tagged in Antipolo rape-slay

Police launched a massive manhunt yesterday for a cell phone snatcher, the main suspect in Fridays brutal rape-slaying of two sisters in Antipolo City.
Three teams of crack police operatives were dispatched yesterday to undisclosed places of the city and its neighboring towns and cities to get Jovy Guray, 28, who was seen by two witnesses in the neighborhood hours before the discovery of the bodies of the victims, Jasmin Bailon, 22, and her elder sister, Agnes, 26.
Guray, a former neighbor of the victims, could have committed the crime to get even with Agnes who pushed through with her robbery complaint which sent him to jail, said Superintendent Jose Dayco, the local police chief.
Dayco said Guray snatched Agnes cell phone last Dec. 8 but was caught by responding barangay officials. He was charged with robbery-snatching in the Antipolo City prosecutors office and was released after posting bail.
The hunt for Guray came after police investigators took into custody a high school student and a 60-year-old neighbor who claimed to have seen the suspect coming out of the victims front door three hours before the bodies of the Bailons were found.
"He was our former neighbor thats why I know him well. What I know is that he transferred residence long ago and I was surprised to see him in the neighborhood," said the high school student, referring to Guray.
She said she was out to buy napkins when she noticed Gurays presence. The other witness claimed that Guray had several companions.
"Siguro, gumanti ang suspect dahil alam niyang huhulihin siya kapag lumabas ang warrant niya," Dayco theorized.
The Bailons were found dead inside the room they shared in their residence at Lot 5, Block 4, Sitio Dalig 1, Barangay Dalig at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Jasmin was an employee at the Cebu Pacific Airlines local ticketing office while Agnes was a medical technology graduate at the Centro Escolar University (CEU).
Jasmin, who was naked from the waist down, was stabbed 12 times while Agnes, who was clad in maong pants, sustained 16 stab wounds. Non Alquitran
