Brent, pumalag na!

Nagsalita na si Brent Manalo tungkol sa walang basehang pambabatikos na natatanggap niya online habang patuloy siyang humaharap sa mga bagong oportunidad sa showbiz.

Sa isang post sa X, naglabas ng saloobin ang It’s Showtime host matapos ang ilang buwang pananahimik sa mga puna laban sa kanya. 

Inamin ni Brent na may kanya-kanyang tingin ang mga tao sa kanya at hindi na niya pipiliting baguhin iyon, pero humihingi lang umano siya ng kaunting pang-unawa.

“For months, I took all the lashings and never said a word ‘cause I’m a firm believer that you should always let your work speak for yourself. 

“With all the opportunities being given to me right now, I am truly grateful to the management and everyone who believes in me and my capabilities. 

“But these things were never handed to me, it was years of waiting and hardwork. I’ll never waste an ounce of opportunity given to me.

“Huwag n’yo po sanang ipagkait sakin na gawin ‘yung trabahong binibigay sakin. I am simply doing my job. I hope to one day be able to show up to work and not walk on eggshells ‘cause everything I say or do is being watched closely just to fault me for something so miniscule.”

Para kay Brent, bahagi pa rin ng responsibilidad niya bilang entertainer ang pagiging bukas sa mga puna, lalo na’t patuloy siyang napapanood sa telebisyon. Mananatili raw siyang bukas sa mga constructive criticism at nangakong patuloy pa rin siyang matututo.

Pinaghahandaan ng Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition Big Winner ang stage play na The Art of Breaking Up sa PETA Theater Center sa November. 

Aral ni Ibarra, tumatak kay Derrick 

Binalikan ni Derrick Monasterio ang kanyang karanasan sa pagganap bilang Crisostomo Ibarra sa musical na Ibarra... Ngayon.

Sa isang Instagram post, nagbahagi ang Kapuso actor ng photo dump mula sa kanyang theater journey at ibinahagi ang mga aral na natutunan niya sa makabuluhang karanasang ito. “One important lesson I’ve learned portraying Crisostomo is to love your country despite the feeling of hopelessness. Iba pala talaga ang teatro, lahat kayo napakahuhusay. Grateful for these people, my new family,” caption ng aktor. 

Noong June nagsimula ang theatrical run ng Ibarra... Ngayon sa ilalim ng direksyon ni Frannie Zamora. Ang pagganap nga raw bilang Crisostomo Ibarra ay ang “most challenging role to date” niya.

Malapit na raw magpaalam ang late night talk show na Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Ayon sa Page Six: “The late-night show is ending after this new season, but ABC is refuting the reports. Kimmel’s contract is not getting extended.”

Naglabas naman ng official statement ang ABC: “This information is inaccurate — any reports about the future of the show at this point are purely speculative.”

Umeere ang Jimmy Kimmel Live! ng higit 24 years na at sa 4,000th episode nito, sinabi ni Jimmy:  

“It’s a lot of shows. According to the White House, it’s too many shows. This show premiered after the Super Bowl in January 2003. There are those who said we would never last this long. There are even those who used the regulatory might of the FCC to unconstitutionally try to make sure we didn’t last this long. But we did it the hard way, Brendan Carr, and we’re still here.”

Si Brendan ay chairman ng Federal Communications Commission na nag-suspend last year kay Kimmel dahil sa comments nito kay Charlie Kirk on the show.
