PNP warns of fixers posing as cops

Bebot Sison Jr., Cecille Suerte Felipe - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) warned the public yesterday against dealing with fixers at government offices who pose as police officers.

Two women who introduce themselves as Chief Inspector Princess Domingo, also known as Patricia Domingo, and Superintendent Grace Perez reportedly solicit money to facilitate government transactions, according to reports.

However, the PNP said the names used by the two women do not appear in the police force’s roster.

The PNP and the Department of the Interior and Local Government, which supervises the police force, said those who misrepresent themselves as government officers shall be liable under the Revised Penal Code while those who facilitate the speedy completion of government transactions for a price shall be penalized under Republic Act 9485, the anti-red tape law.
