MMDA enforcer dies in motorcycle crash

MANILA, Philippines - An enforcer of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) died after his motorcycle crashed into a post along C-5 Road in Pasig City early yesterday morning.

The MMDA identified the victim as Traffic Officer 2 Joel Acanto, 39, of Sta. Maria, San Mateo, Rizal.

Reports said that Acanto was cruising along C-5 on his Honda motorcycle with license plate WM-3899 at around 1:40 a.m. when he slammed into a post near Julia Vargas Avenue.

According to the MMDA, Acanto suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the Rizal Medical Center.
