MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday advised motorists to brace for heavy traffic along some streets in Quezon City, Mandaluyong City and Caloocan City as road repairs and reblocking will be done by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) over the weekend until early Monday.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the repairs will be along EDSA from Fema Road to Kaingin Footbridge in Quezon City (northbound) and along EDSA from Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge in Quezon City (southbound).

There will also be repairs done along Commonwealth Avenue from North Susana to Luzon Avenue in Quezon City (southbound) and along EDSA from Boni Avenue to Mayon street in Mandaluyong City (southbound).

The MMDA also warned that road repairs may cause traffic jams along EDSA from A. De Jesus U-turn slot before J. Mariano street in Caloocan City (southbound) and along EDSA between G. De Jesus street and Malvar street in Caloocan City (northbound).
