Furniture warehouse razed

MANILA, Philippines - Amid rains yesterday afternoon, flames razed a furniture warehouse in Novaliches, Quezon City, destroying properties worth around P10 million.

SFO1 Rosendo Cabillan said flames engulfed the warehouse of Regio Merchandize in Kingspoint Subdivision in Barangay Bagbag at past 1 p.m.

The fire reportedly started at the warehouse’s working area, Cabillan said.

Carlos Mactay and Eddie Paragas sustained first-degree burns while trying to help contain the flames.

The fire reached fourth alarm before firefighters put it out at past 2 p.m. Investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire.
