Passenger dies in plane lavatory
MANILA, Philippines - An 86-year-old American woman collapsed and died in the lavatory of a Philippine Airlines flight from San Francisco to Manila yesterday.
Julia Basquez Bolilan, who reportedly suffered from hypertension and diabetes, was found by fellow passengers lying in the lavatory. Dr. Rizza Paredes, who was on the same flight, tried but failed to revive her. She was pronounced dead due to cardiac arrest at around 12:30 a.m. yesterday.
Bolilan was traveling with her daughter, Obdolia, according to Josefina Tria, Manila International Airport Authority doctor on duty.
Her remains were brought to the morgue at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport clinic.
