Phl to have warm, humid Holy Week
MANILA, Philippines - Most parts of the country, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience warm and humid weather for the rest of the Holy Week, state weather forecasters said yesterday.
“Sunny weather associated with warm and humid condition is expected in the next five days in most parts of the Philippines, including the National Capital Region,” Robert Sawi, weather division chief of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said.
He said no tropical cyclone is likely to develop within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility during this period.
However, Sawi said afternoon or evening rainshowers and thunderstorms are possible due to local convection or extremely warm temperature.
Sawi earlier said the temperature in Metro Manila could reach 35 degrees Celsius this month. The hottest weather recorded in the metropolis so far this year was 34.7 degrees Celsius last March 23.
