Gun, illegal drug stuff seized at checkpoints

CEBU, Philippines -  A gun and drug paraphernalia were seized at two separate checkpoints Friday in Mandaue City.

At around 5 p.m., the Casuntingan police seuzed a. 38 caliber revolver disposed of by two men on a motorcycle, who made a u-turn along M.L Quezon Street, barangay Cabangcalan, Mandaue City to avoid the checkpoint.

Police tried to stop them but failed.

Meanwhile, Anthony Capadiso, 24, of sitio Saksak of barangay Casili, who was travelling on a motorcycle was arrested for bumping another motorcycle after making u-turn to avoid a checkpoint at upper Casili.

The police in Canduman seized some illegal drug paraphernalia from him.

Capadiso is now detained at the Canduman police station. (FREEMAN)
