2 gang members arrested

CEBU, Philippines - Two members of the street gang “Bloods” were arrested Wednesday dawn after a teenager who sensed he was being followed sought police assistance in Hernan Cortes Street, barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Arrested after a brief chase were Jernel Nunez, 18, of barangay Banawa, Cebu City and Junjun Gabunada, 20, of barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Gabunada yielded a fan knife and a replica of a .357 magnum revolver.

Seized from Nunez was an ice pick. 

Tattoos on the two men gave them away as “Bloods” members.

A background check showed both men have been involved in robberies in the city.

The two men are detained at the Subangdaku police station. (FREEMAN)
