Man arrested for stealing motorcycle

CEBU, Philippines - A man wanted by the police for stealing a motorcycle was arrested Friday evening at the corner of Pagsabungan and national highway in barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

Pilmar Torrovilla, 23, a native of Daanbantayan town but resides in sitio Cambiohan in barangay Casili in Consolacion town was arrested by the police from Daanbantayan, Consolacion and barangay Basak.

Basak police station chief P Insp. Wilson Abot said Torrovilla while in Daanbantayan town fired a gun at a person but when he missed, Torrovilla took the man’s motorcycle. The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Antonio Marigomen of RTC-7 in Bogo City.

Bail for his temporary liberty is fixed at P240,000. Torrovilla was taken to a jail in Daanbantayan. (FREEMAN)
