Ahead of Ombudsman requests, several lawmakers voluntarily release SALNs

MANILA, Philippines — Several lawmakers have taken the initiative to release their Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) statements amid the largest corruption scandal haunting the Marcos administration.
The voluntary disclosures came as Ombudsman Boying Remulla restored the accesibility of the public to government officials' SALNs, thus lifting restrictions during the Duterte administration.
While forms to request for copies for officials' wealth statements are yet to be made available, a few lawmakers went ahead and made their disclosures.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros
Hontiveros released her SALN directly to the press. The opposition senator has three real properties worth P8.730 million. They were purchased between 1991 and 2003. Together with her liabilities, Hontiveros has a net worth of P18.98 million.
