Ex-FVR men meet Isko Moreno
MANILA, Philippines — Several Cabinet secretaries of former president Fidel Ramos held a dialogue with presidential aspirant Isko Moreno yesterday, tackling the Manila mayor’s future plans for the country if elected president in the 2022 elections.
According to the former officials, a “brighter future” can be seen under the tandem of Moreno and Willie Ong through their solid platforms.
“You can feel a brighter future,” said Hernani Braganza, former agrarian reform chief.
Also present during the courtesy call were Ruben Torres, former labor chief and executive secretary; Danny Fausto, president of Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Food; and Elias Inchong, president of United Broilers Raisers Association.
Leonardo Montemayor, former agriculture chief and Ernesto Ordoñez, former presidential flagship programs secretary and agriculture and trade undersecretary, also joined the meeting via Zoom.
The mayor said he would utilize a budget from Landbank and Development Bank of the Philippines that will be given to agricultural groups that produce investment for the country.
“The greatest threat to national security is food security,” Moreno said, giving emphasis on food supply for the Filipino people.
