MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Grace Poe regained the top spot in the latest Pulse Asia presidential survey released on Saturday.

Poe, an independent presidential candidate, topped the survey with 30 percent.

Vice President Jejomar Binay of the United Nationalist Alliance ranked second with 23 percent, down from 33 percent.

Last December, Binay topped the presidential survey for the May 2016 polls.

Binay shared the second spot with Liberal Party standard-bearer Manuel "Mar" Roxas II and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who both scored 20 percent.

In third place is Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago with four percent voter preference.

Meanwhile, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero remained the most preferred vice presidential candidate in 2016 with 33 percent.

Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ranked second with 23 percent, followed by Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robrebo with 18 percent voter preference.

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano scored 14 percent while Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan II and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV scored 5 percent and 4 percent, respectively.

The survey was conducted from January 24 to 28.

Poe, who is ahead of her rivals based on the latest presidential survey, is still facing disqualification cases before the Supreme Court.
