Anne Hathaway returns in 'Rio 2'

MANILA, Philippines- Anne Hathaway is back to reprise the role of Jewel in “Rio 2.”

Anne's character in the animated film is Jewel who lives with her husband Blue in a domesticated life, which the lady bird was not very fond of since she was raised in the jungle by her father, Eduardo.

Jewel was already getting used to the idea of living her whole life as a domesticated bird, but everything changed when Blue's friends Linda and Tulio found a blue feather after falling on the Amazon River.

The blue feather gave Jewel hope that there might be more Blue Macaws in the area.

Determined to find the other members of their kind, Jewel convinces Blu to go to the Amazon jungle together with their kids Bia, Tiago and Carla.

“In Rio, we learned that Blu and Jewel were the last of their kind, but in the new film they learn they might not be – that there may be other Blue Macaws out there,” said Hathaway.

“So it becomes important to Jewel to find who’s out there in the Amazon. She’s thrilled there could be more like her and Blu.”

As the family decides to pursue the adventure, they would find out that there is indeed a flock of Blue Macaws in the Amazon jungle and its leader is Jewel's father.

With the comic antagonist father-in-law Eduardo, the perfect Blue macaw bird Roberto, and the ever frank Mimi, will the domesticated Blu get to adjust with his family in this new jungle world?
