MANILA, Philippines — Is Leyte 4th district representative and former TV host Lucy Torres-Gomez expecting?
That was the question that loomed in many Internet users' heads when her husband, Ormoc City Mayor and actor Richard Gomez, recently said in an Instagram post: "Did something nice together. We will share it with you all on August 13. Watch out for it!"
Internet users were quick to react on the video Richard posted.
"That is not preggy all ladies has bilbil tummy excess hello,, look at your tummy guys Mas pregnant PA kau Kay Lucy hehehe that is nature kc damit Nia fit," said one comment.
"Sana po magkaroon ng kapatid si juliana sayang po ang ganda at guapo pa naman mom at daddy niya para di siya mag iisa," said another.
In an exclusive interview with Philstar.com, the couple set the record straight on Lucy's supposed pregnancy.
"I'm really not pregnant!" she declared.
"When I said that we said something nice together, it was Ultherapy," added Richard.
The couple, however, were not offended by people's assumptions.
"Maybe because people know that we've been wanting another child since forever so anything that we reveal, they think it's that already that we're going to reveal always," Lucy explained.
The pair, nonetheless, are still open to the possibility of having a sibling for 18-year-old Juliana, who is now a college freshman.
In a previous interview with this writer, Lucy said that she is not into birth control and has always been trying to get pregnant. According to her, if she and Richard would only have their way, they want a big family; it is just that she could not get pregnant that easily.
"Working on it, hopefully," Richard said.
