Janice de Belen unsure if Kaila Estrada, Daniel Padilla are 'endgame'

MANILA, Philippines — Veteran actress Janice de Belen is unsure whether her daughter, Kaila Estrada, and actor Daniel Padilla are meant to be together for life, saying she would rather see her daughter happy than predict the future of their relationship.
The actress shared her thoughts on the rumored couple during her guest appearance on Ogie Diaz's YouTube program, “Ogie Diaz Inspires.”
Asked whether she sees Kaila and Daniel's relationship lasting until the end, Janice said her own experiences have taught her that relationships do not always turn out as expected.
“Hindi ko alam. Ano ba? Galing ako sa ganyan. Akala mo 'yon na ang ending, hindi pa pala. 'Di ba? Mahirap mag-salita,” she said.
“Basta, gusto ko masaya 'yung anak ko. And I trust that if she's not happy, she's going to go. She knows what to do,” she added.
Janice also observed that younger people today are less likely to endure unhappy relationships, unlike previous generations who often chose to stay and make things work despite difficulties.
“Tayo matiisin pa tayo, e. Hindi na uso sa kanila (kabataan) 'yun. 'Patagalin pa natin 'to?' Hindi, hindi na uso. Kapag hindi na okay, split na,” she said.
Janice's own romantic history has been part of the public eye. She and actor Aga Muhlach have a son, Igi Muhlach, although their relationship did not lead to marriage.
In 1992, Janice married fellow actor John Estrada, with whom she has four children. Their marriage ended in annulment in 2004.
The actress has also shared that she has been single for nearly two decades and no longer wishes to remarry. She said she is prepared to grow old without a romantic partner.
