MANILA, Philippines — Over 270 graduates of the Promil Four i-Shine 7 talent camp recently took the stage and wowed the audience with amazing creations and inspiring performances during the Promil Four i-Shine 7’s Celebrate the Gift Recital at SMX Aura.

Supportive parents, relatives, mentors and other kids filled the SMX Aura Convention Center with claps and cheers as they witnessed future artists, dancers, musicians and actors conquer the stage. Dimples Romana, who has been hosting Promil Four’s i-Shine since it started in 2009, had the honor of once again hosting the recital.

The program kick-started with the kiddie graduates, also called iShiners, unveiling a lovely mural and tunnel that they worked on during their art workshop. Designed to cultivate the kids’ imagination, creative exploration and self-expression, the activity was supervised by members of the Art Camp under the mentorship of Teacher Robert Alejandro of Papemelroti and Teacher Kara Escay of Masterpiece Movement.

Next, participants of the Dance Camp, which was under G-Force founder and artistic director Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, together with her G-Force choreographers, brought the house down with both beginner- and intermediate-level hip-hop moves. In the pretty tutus, the young ballerinas, who were taught by Ballet Manila artistic director and principal dancer Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, pranced, danced and melted hearts away.

Meanwhile, Theatre Camp i-Shiners showed off their confident, gregarious and versatile selves on stage. One of the Promil Four Theater Camp i-Shiners’ performances was the popular fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf, as mentored by Audie Gemora and directed by Trumpets Playshop coaches.

Members of the Music Camp showcased their talents in singing and playing musical instruments — all in perfect harmony — under the guidance of National Artist, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. The kids didn’t only study new musical techniques and skills, they also learned how to develop their confidence and leadership potential.

Promil Four is committed to its mission of nurturing the gift in every Filipino child. In partnership with experts, Promil Four’s i-Shine Talent Camp 7 helped instill in the participants such values as imagination, teamwork, versatility, discipline and harmony for them to shine not just on stage, but in real life as well.
