Modern Living now on its second season

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Modern Living TV is back with an exciting new season filled with the best and the latest in the world of real estate, architecture and design. Kicking off Season 2 are holiday-themed specials. Learn how to make the most of the festive season with your family and friends with tips on stress-free entertaining, personalized gift-wrapping, easy recipes and more.

A new feature of Modern Living TV is the addition of makeovers. Debuting in the third episode come Dec. 27, the program shows a made-over guest bedroom. This is the first of several makeovers to be showcased throughout the season.

Right after the holiday festivities, Modern Living TV airs a trend-forecasting episode on Jan. 10, 2015, featuring interviews with some of the country’s top designers such as Kenneth Cobonpue and Budji Layug.

The rest of the season will banner such themes as New Year, New Look and Everyday Luxury, offering suggestions on how to make modern living a fabulous experience.

Presented by The Philippine STAR and hosted by STAR Lifestyle columnists Stephanie Zubiri and Bianca Gonzalez, every 30-minute themed episode of Modern Living TV will showcase modern and innovative architecture, captivating interiors and dream-like real estate properties existing in the country. More than just delivering eye candy in the form of breathtaking living spaces and other elements of modern living, the show will present informative and entertaining segments on the hottest lifestyle trends.

Modern Living is the very popular Saturday Lifestyle section in The STAR. It features urban spaces, trends in interior design and developments in real estate. It was borne out of the insights of Lifestyle editor Milette Mananquil and enriched by the commentary of seasoned columnists like Paolo Alcazaren.

Lucien Dy Tioco, STAR SVP for sales and marketing, says that with the launch of Modern Living TV, The STAR has created an opportunity to spread content into different formats and capture more audiences, especially now that the broadsheet also has its new augmented reality (AR) feature called Read It! Live It! The AR app, which is available for iOS and Android users, allows them to watch videos and other media simply by taking a photo of the AR code printed in selected sections of the newspaper.

Modern Living TV Season 2 will run for 13 episodes. The premiere airs on Dec. 13, 6 p.m., over ANC, with a replay next day, Dec. 14, 10:30 a.m.
