Body Talk with Aubrey Miles

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo -
Almost two years ago when she became one of the casualties of the defunct ABS-CBN noontime show MTB (which became MTB: Ang Saya-Saya before it was replaced by the tandem game shows Pilipinas, Game KNB? with Kris Aquino and Wowowee with Willie Revillame), Aubrey Miles had to radically make adjustments in her lifestyle.

"Co-hosting MTB was like going to school," she said. "You have to be at the studio before 12 noon and stay there until after 2:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. I had to sleep at a certain hour and wake up mid-morning in preparation for the show. Now, my schedule is more flexible; my life is more laid-back."

Since then, Aubrey has completed a stint with the ABS-CBN defunct sitcom Home Along Da Airport (replaced by Quizon Avenue, also with Dolphy as topbiller, together with, among others, sons Eric, Jeffrey and Vandolph), a Regal horror flick called Pasiyam (her eighth in five years, starting with the acclaimed Prosti), and performed "live" here and there (in Air Force One, among others).

"I’m pretty relaxed these days," said Aubrey whose contract with ABS-CBN is good until February next year but she doesn’t know what the station’s plans (if any) for her are. "What I’m busy with is the pawnshop I opened recently. I also plan to open another business, preferably one that has something to do with food."

A UST Conservatory of Music undergraduate, Aubrey has also tried singing/recording (last year, with Prime Records), a field her boyfriend Troy Montero has also ventured into. She and Troy continue to play beautiful music together as lovers, that’s true, but does Aubrey give Troy a lesson/tip or two in singing? "I do. I teach him how to sustain his voice. He’s more of a rocker."

She has just done a pictorial for Dunlop and for a new magazine put up by Vicki Belo’s Clinic of which she’s one of the image models.

A former Bb. Pilipinas contestant, Aubrey has one of the most beautiful bodies in showbiz. She stands 5’6", weighs 120 lbs., measures 35-25-35, and wears small or extra-small shirt and size 7.5 or 8 shoes.
