City Hoops League gets underway today

CEBU, Philippines – Twelve teams will vie supremacy in the staging of the City Hoops League that tips off today at the Visayas Glass Gym in Barangay Guadalupe, this city.

The teams that will be competing for the title are Velez PT Alumni, SHS-J Alumni Fairview Village Talisay, Team Pura, Extra Rice, Boss John, Dax Navs, United Ballers Club, JoeMangs, Lightning Ballers, Dropouts, Team Natz, D & L and Compañeros.

In the opener of a scheduled triple-header, Lightning Ballers will go up against SHS-J Alumni at 6 P.M., followed by the battle between DFax Navs and United Ballers Club as Velez PT Alumni will take on Team Pura in the final game.

The champion of the tournament will receive P8000, while individual awards will also be given after the tournament. (FREEMAN)
