Nelson Yuvallos ace highlights The View
CEBU, Philippines - Nelson Yuvallos saved the best for last literally as he scored an ace on the 159-yard hole No. 2 to highlight the penultimate day of The View Invitational at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City late Saturday afternoon.
Yuvallos, who started on hole No. 3 for the afternoon shotgun tee off, pulled out a nine-iron from the elevated tee on hole No. 2, which was his last for the round.
He said that it was his second ace, but his first in a tournament. The feat was witnessed by his partner Benjie Santos and their flightmates Jimmy Tee and Harry Domingo.
The hole-in-one prizes that Yuvallos won are P50,000 first bet coupons and P25,000 double your money coupons from Pagcor, a Sunriser motorcycle from Norkis Trading and a reverse osmosis machine from San Gabriel Metal Arts.
Other hole-in-one prizes offered by the tournament were Foton pick-up, a residential lot from Santa Lucia Realty, a trip to Singapore from Marist Royal Holidays Travel and Tours, a Club Car golf cart, a trip to Korea from Air Busan, and a weekend stay at Moevenpick Hotel Resort Mactan.
The last group was still on the golf course as of press time Sunday.
A total of 400 players took part in the 16th edition of the event, which is the signature tournament of Alta Vista.
