CBM off to Bohol

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Blue Marlins team aims for back-to-back victories in the PASA-G-League Swim Meet Series with the staging of the second and third leg in Tagbilaran City, Bohol this weekend.

CBM hopes that the lack of manpower will not be a hindrance in winning the overall crown again.

The G-League utilizes a points system and not medal count in determining the overall champion in each leg.

With that, CBM under coach Rolando Alvarez only landed third in the first leg in Dumaguete City a few months back.

Majority of CBM’s bets are from the University of Cebu including boys’ division entries Michael Ichiro Kong, Marvincent Hermoso, Israel Clarence Gabunada, Joshua Rosada, and Robin Jakobsen.

Those from the distaff side are Langeline, Danielle Mae Ballesteros, Trina Cañeda, Beth May Arellano, Cristine Indaya, Romylin Niña Ignacio, Je Rose Rosada, and Joyce Huguete.

Other entries are University of San Carlos-South’s Tristan Kirk and Tara Kyla Ebon, Aaron Grant Embuscado and Razel Cabajar; Labangon Elementary School’s Karen Mae and Jobert Indaya; Maternelle Academy’s Rafael Dacal-Dacal; and Dominique Paolo Orio of the Living Word Christian Learning Center.

The Navarro siblings, are not joining the CBM line-up this time, yet coach Alvarez is confident that the rest of his wards will bring home the bacon for Cebu.  (FREEMAN)
