Adlawan shines in Keiz BJ motocross

CEBU, Philippines - Promising Cebuano rider Jon-jon Adlawan dominated the premiere expert division of Keiz BJ Motors 5th Anniversary Invitational Motocross in Caduawan, Tabogon.

Adlawan, a civil engineering student of the University of San Carlos, beat another daring rider from Mindanao Kimboy Pineda as Bornoc Mangosong took the third spot.

Clark Wagas, who missed the top three in the experts class, ruled the novice open production over Rex Barbaso while another collegiate student of USC John Flores grabbed the third spot.

The executive riders also had a grand time at the racetrack with Keiz BJ owner Seigfred Ornopia spraying dust to his opponents on his way to the top.

Russel Gungob topped the executive A over Noli Rom and Jun Enriquez, while Titing Sicad lorded it over in executive B.

Little-known James Mayol topped the mini 85 class over JP Cuesta, while Brylle Ornopia, who is slowly getting back on his top following a major injury, placed third.

Brylle, eldest son of the event organizer Seigfred Ornopia, also finished third in the mini 65cc won by Jonaricci Cuesta followed by BJ Pepito.

Brylle’s brothers Kerry and Ken landed second and fourth in the peewee division won by Tamtam Largosa.

The beginners selection saw Omar Sabal placing first over Ayen Ledesma, while Jay Sanico bagged the local enduro’s title over Erap Marquez.

Dondon Famador came out as the fastest in the “habal-habal” category over Dandan Berizo and Ike Tombiga, while Esoy Cuesta ruled the Wanggits showdown. (THE FREEMAN)
