Karl Customs drubs FYA
CEBU, Philippines - The Karl Customs Brokerage of team owner Nelson Arnoco smashed the much-favored F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA), 87-81, in the midget division of the Lourdes Parish Summer Basketball League at the Lourdes Parish gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
The KCB jumped off to a hot start and took the first half by storm, 45-24, behind the sizzling tandem of Alwyn Aguirre and Charles Arnoco, a former member of the USC-South Passarelle team.
FYA charged back in the next two periods but Karl Customs held on its ground until the closing moments of the match.
Aguirre led the KCB with 26 points, while Dixon Fuentes added 18 points. Arnoco and Kent Jongoy connived for 22 markers for KCB, which never allowed FYA to taste the lead or even just tie the count.
Alvin Igoña paced FYA with 24 points followed by James Arreglo and Dondon Rama with 12 and 10 markers, respectively.
