Fatima cagers reach finals
CEBU, Philippines - The Our Lady of Fatima ousted Bostolits, 104-96, to set up a title showdown with H&C Sand and Gravel Dealer in the 2009 Saturday Club basketball tournament at the Quiot Sports Complex.
Fatima got off to a hot 32-18 start and then closed the first half with a 14-point advantage, 54-40.
Fatima maintained a huge 83-69 edge but Bostolits woke up from a deep offensive slumber in the windup but time was not on its side.
Glenn Birao topscored for Fatima with 31 points, while ace pointman Lito Navarro chipped in 22 markers. Lito Ortiz, Michael Arias and Efren Mosqueda banged in 40 points combined.
