Rollyr Boyz, Aqua serv survive foes in FYA

-

CEBU, Philippines – The Rollyr Boyz of Punta Princesa Brgy. Capt. Rolly Diorico and the Aqua Serv Purified Water both defeated separate rivals with a margin of four points in the F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) 1st Vice Mayor Mike Rama Cup last Sunday at the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

The Rollyr Boyz outlasted the Viking Haulers, 90-86, while Aqua Serv handed the Park ‘N Go Bakeshop its fourth straight loss via a 96-92 decision.

Chrissar Llegunas had 22 points for Rollyr Boyz, while Daniel Enriquez and Dexter Caballeros each scored 18 followed by Paul Basalo with 15 points. The Haulers, who fell to 1-3 despite four of their players cashing in double figures, were led by Joher Ardon with 24 points.

On the other hand, Tito Bacarisas netted 35 points and Janus Abellana added 23 as Aqua Serv joined the Rollyr Boyz and Heartfelt on top of the leaderboard with similar 3-1 win-loss records.

Carl Rama exploded with 45 points but his solitary effort couldn’t make a difference as Park ‘N Go Bakeshop crashed to its fourth straight loss in as many games.

The FYA tilt is also supported by Punta Princesa barangay councilor Ray Gabriel Salgado and tournament chairman Boy Atillo.
