CEBU, Philippines — The officers of the Philippine Councilors’ League-Cebu Chapter have gone to the mountain barangay of Magsico, San Fernando for another round of their outreach program.

Around 400 residents, including from those nearby barangays, had availed of the free services they brought, said PCL-Cebu Chapter president and ex-officio Provincial Board Member Edward Francis Salimbangon.

The services include medical, dental, free eye glasses, cholesterol check, blood sugar testing, foot screening for arterial diseases and neuritis while free medicines and vitamins were also distributed.

“As promised, to serve my fellow councilors but not just them, also to their constituents,” said Salimbangon.

Salimbangon thanked the family of doctors of Councilor Philip Jude “PJ” Medalla, the chairman of the committee on health in the Municipal Council and a member of the PCL Board of Directors, Councilor Riyadh Christopher Oacan, the municipal president of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, and PCL Vice President Ricardo “Kuya Nick” Pepito of Toledo City and their entire team for the support.

He also thanked the Capitol through Governor Gwendolyn Garcia for giving free medicines and vitamins.

The activity was the second one.  The first activity was held in another mountain barangay of Garing, Consolacion last month, where around 350 residents availed of the free services. (FREEMAN)
